Wildcats Wrestlers Take on Scottie Boykin Camp at Blackman High
This summer, Wildcats wrestlers sophomore Ian Dunn and junior state qualifier Wyatt Nichols took the mat at the prestigious Scottie Boykin Wrestling Camp hosted at Blackman High School.
The camp was led by Scottie Boykin, a standout in the wrestling world and current assistant wrestling coach at Cornell University. Boykin brings an impressive résumé to the sport, having competed at the highest levels in college and beyond. His experience, coaching expertise, and passion for developing the next generation of wrestlers make his camp one of the best opportunities for athletes to sharpen their skills.
For Ian and Wyatt, this camp was more than just practice—it was a chance to learn from one of the nation’s top minds in wrestling. Wyatt, a returning junior and state qualifier, continues to set the bar for what it means to push beyond limits, while Ian, entering his sophomore season, showed his dedication by stepping up to challenge himself against elite instruction and competition.
Both athletes represented the Wildcats with pride, putting in the work and showing their commitment to growth. Their participation is a reflection of the culture we are building: one where hard work, dedication, and the drive to improve never stop.
We are proud of Ian and Wyatt for seizing this opportunity and can’t wait to see their continued growth on the mat this season.
